General weapon rules
- Anyone carrying weapons, simulated weapons, sports equipment or similar is doing so at their own risk.
- All cosplay weapons will be checked and marked by a member of the supervisory staff at the checkpoint when entering the event. It is at the discretion of the supervisor whether this item may be taken onto the grounds.
- Show fights are prohibited, as imitators with unsuitable equipment could injure themselves or accidents could occur at the event. In the event of non-compliance, we reserve the right to expel the participants from the event.
- We reserve the right to insist on the surrender of weapons that are actually permitted if we deem them unsuitable for carrying on the premises.
Permitted weapons
- In principle, all types of objects are permitted, provided they are not listed in the following sections.
Partly permitted:
- Weapons made of metal, 3D printing or hardwood (depending on size, weight or design).
- Weapons larger than 2m.
- Shooting sports equipment such as paintball and compressed air weapons (airsoft) are only tolerated if they are carried without ammunition and battery/gas/etc. and only indoors. and only in the indoor area of the event. Open carrying in public / outdoor areas is prohibited.
- Simulated firearms (firearms, replicas of firearms and firearms that have been rendered inoperable, which in their overall appearance give the impression of being firearms and in which no hot gases are used to propel the projectiles).
Not permitted:
- All weapons that fall under the Austrian Weapons Act (firearms, salute weapons, alarm weapons, ammunition and war material).
- Weapon components of all kinds (magazines, slides, grips, etc.)
- Objects that can cause injury due to their sharpness, point, etc. (knives, hypodermic needles, etc.).
- Devices that emit electricity (tasers, cattle prods, etc.).
- Irritant spraying devices (pepper spray, CS gas, etc.).
- Steel rods, deadly clubs or brass knuckles
- Devices that emit light or sound for personal defense.
- Laser pointer with a strength of over 1mw.
- Cutting or thrusting weapons whose external appearance suggests that they are normal everyday objects
