I’m tpg_art (or Caitlyn to some) – a cosplayer from the UK – and I’ve been cosplaying on and off for 13 years now. My first official contact with cosplay was my first convention in 2016, but even before that I was building props out of cardboard without even knowing there was a name for it.
My first cosplay project was Master Chief from Halo, made entirely out of cardboard, in 2014. I now work with other materials and mainly use EVA foam. My most famous cosplays are the Doom Slayer from Doom Eternal and Geralt von Riva from The Witcher 3.
I love building armor and props out of foam from various games like Doom, Fallout and Hades and have also dabbled in 3D modeling and 3D printing. Some of my current projects already contain more of these elements.
I’m looking forward to learning even more about sewing and make-up in the future – and I’m incredibly excited to have been invited to this convention as a jury member.
