Brett Downen is a cosplay and portrait photographer best known for his dynamic shooting style, excellent posing guidance and inexhaustible positive energy. He has been photographing cosplayers at conventions, in his studio and at various locations around the world for twelve years.
His work has been published in numerous books and magazines – including twice on the cover of Create Cosplays Magazine – as well as on fan sites such as Cohaku and cosplaycentral.com.
Brett is also the main cosplay photographer for the documentary series Alter Egos (2024). When he’s not shooting at conventions, he holds workshops on photography and posing, and enthusiastically shares his passion for portrait photography with cosplayers around the world.
