We are thrilled to announce a very special guest: Rickie Kinnen! She accompanied us with legendary songs such as “Free as the Wind” from Monster Rancher, “Wenn du gehst” from Detective Conan and “Gleich gibt es Ärger” from the first Pokémon CD and shaped our childhood.
The unmistakable voice behind cult openings such as “Frei wie der Wind” (Monster Rancher) and “Wenn du gehst” (Detective Conan), as well as other titles from Pokemon 1 and 2, Digimon, One Piece, Hamtaro, etc. Her performance with Petra Scheeser as Team Rocket with the song “Gleich gibt es Ärger” from the first Pokemon album is also legendary.
Rickie’s singing voice is also known from numerous films and TV series. She is the German singing voice for Hannah Montana and for Jessie in Toy Story 2 with the song: “Als mich jemand liebte”. In Harry Potter 3 she sings the FatLady or in Pirates of the Caribbean 4 the song of the mermaid “Tapfrer Seemann hold” and in many series and movies more.
The anime community has given her the title “Anime Angel”. And that’s fitting, because Rickie wants to enchant people with her voice and touch their hearts.
